Welcome to The Consignery. By shopping with us, booking services, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. General Overview
The Consignery (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates as both a preloved consignment retailer and a seller of exclusive new retail items. We also offer services such as clothing pickup and closet edit sessions.
By accessing or using our site, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Product Types
2.1 Consignment Items (Preloved)

All consignment items are final sale and sold as-is.

We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges on consignment items.

Listings include thorough photos and descriptions. Any visible wear, flaws, or imperfections are disclosed to the best of our ability.

Consignment items come from a variety of homes; all are inspected before being listed.
2.2 Exclusive Retail Items (Boutique)

Retail items sold exclusively by The Consignery may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Items must be unworn, unused, unwashed, and in original packaging (if applicable).

Refunds are issued once the returned item is received and inspected.

Retail items clearly marked Final Sale cannot be returned.
3. “Item Not as Described” Claims
For consignment items, if you believe your item has a major flaw not shown or described:

You must notify us within 3 days of delivery.

Include clear photos of the issue.
-
We will review and determine next steps on a case-by-case basis.
Minor variations in color (due to screens), expected wear for preloved items, or subjective fit issues do not qualify for a return or refund.
4. Service Terms
4.1 Clothing Pickup Service

Pickup is available within a defined service radius.

A $25 pickup fee applies (unless otherwise stated at checkout).

Customer is responsible for ensuring items are clean and ready for pickup.

Items not eligible for consignment are donated immediately to Veteran’s Thrift (Bristol, PA).

Items cannot be returned once picked up.
4.2 Closet Edit Sessions

All bookings are final.

Rescheduling requires at least 48 hours’ notice.

No refunds for unused time once the session begins.

Customer is responsible for approving donation or resale decisions during the session.
5. Shipping
5.1 Processing Times

Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days.

Shipping times depend on carrier and location. Delays outside our control are not our responsibility.
5.2 Lost or Damaged Packages

Once a package scans as “Accepted” by the carrier, liability transfers to the buyer.

We are not responsible for carrier delays, losses, or damage during transit.
-
Claims must be filed directly with the shipping carrier.
6. Pricing & Availability

Prices are subject to change at any time.

Inventory is limited and items may sell out without notice.

Adding items to your cart does not reserve them.
7. Make an Offer Functionality
Some items may include a “Make an Offer” option. By submitting an offer through our website, marketplace, or sales platform, you agree that:

All offers are binding at the price you submit.

If your offer is accepted, the transaction is considered final.

Accepted offers cannot be canceled, withdrawn, or renegotiated.

Items purchased through accepted offers follow the same return rules as their category (final sale for consignment items; retail return rules apply to exclusive retail items).
Submitting an offer indicates that you intend to complete the purchase and have reviewed the item details, photos, measurements, and condition notes and are willing to purchase the "as is" item.
8. Privacy & Data
We collect only the personal information required to process orders and provide services.
Personal data is never shared or sold. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability Disclaimer
By using our site or services, you agree that:

The Consignery is not liable for allergic reactions, fit issues, laundering results, or general wear after purchase.

Preloved items may show minor signs of prior use.

You release The Consignery from claims related to loss of personal items during closet edit sessions or drop-offs.
Nothing in these terms restricts your rights under applicable consumer laws.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
Continued use of our site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
